About Us
When I was ten years old, my father asked me if I wanted to earn some money, and little did I know that the job he arranged for me would shape the rest my life.
As a young man I was always attracted to building and designing. I pursued and achieved a journeyman level ticket in sheet metalwork and worked for a time in the trades. While this fed my bank account it didn’t feed my creative spirit and I struggled to make my work satisfying.
When my son was born, I took some time off to be closer to him and found myself inspired to start my own business. In the spring of 1999 I opened Ironwood Designs, and my dream became a reality.
With Ironwood still growing, my goal is to provide the best possible quality, service and design in the custom wrought iron business. As an artisan blacksmith and steel fabricator, my commitment and passion for the work shows in the product and is what will drive Ironwood Designs’ continued success.
